Whether singing one of his own great songs or a carefully selected cover, Wayne Taylor delivers it with heart and soul. His feel for the Tradition and the incredible band Appaloosa show Bluegrass in a fantastic modern light. Go see them...and buy two CD’s.

Wayne Taylor’s band is drenched in soul. They sound like they are first generation and here they are in the 21st century. I love these guys!

Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa are an inspired, innovative group of traditionalists who never venture too far from their roots, while elevating the music we love to a higher plateau.

I believe you sing that song better than Greenwood
— Former US President George H. Bush
When I think of Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa, the first word that comes to mind is precision. But their music is about much, much more. See them live and you’ll know instantly what I mean. Buy this recording and you’ll own a piece of it.
— Terry Herd, Bluegrass Radio Network
Wayne Taylor, formerly of the U.S. Navy Bluegrass Band Country Current, has been touring with his own band since his retirement. Wayne not only has one of the finest voices in bluegrass music, he’s an excellent songwriter, too. With mando wizard Emory Lester in very strong support, Mark Delaney on banjo, and Kene Hyatt on bass, the band is tuneful and lively. If you haven’t heard them before, you’re in for a surprise.

Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa - a top notch Bluegrass band, with their roots firmly placed in traditional soil, with branches reaching up to the blue heavens, to remain fresh, innovative and constant in their interpretation of what great Bluegrass music is. For quite some time now, they’ve been bringing us some of the best music around and WorldWideBluegrass.com is always proud to be spinning their newest tunes of late, as well as leaving many of their ‘grassy classics,’ home in the WWB stream. Some things just NEVER get old - and the sound of Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa is one great sound!
